Texas Interconnect Team Announces Dayton Kids Reflector for Dayton Hamvention® 2013

CQ D-STAR, CQ D-STAR – The Texas Interconnect Team (K5TIT) announces 
that for the Dayton Hamvention® weekend, REF033B will officially be the Dayton Kids Reflector. 
Megan McClellan, K5MEM, will spearhead the project from the Youth Booth 
starting Friday morning and continuing during show hours on Saturday and Sunday.

The objective is to give the young future hams an opportunity to experience the fun and
excitement of talking with someone in a far-away place, using the magic of Amateur Radio. 
The participants in the Youth area will have access to handheld radios and a DVAP, 
and will operate under the supervision of an experienced Control Operator.

To participate and help show the wonders of Amateur Radio, connect your 
DVDongle, DVAP, Hot Spot, or D-STAR Gateway to REF033B during event hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 
If nobody is talking, give them a call - somebody has to call CQ!

Event hours are (in EDT):
• Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon
