Erik,
FYI......
You do know, don't you, that MFJ acquires those "Pulsar" antennas from an
OEM supplier, i.e. Comet? Diamond? Whoever? (MFJ makes many of its antennas,
but not those.)
Also, you might want to double check the model number of the Comet
antenna.....according to my old catalog and the NCG website, it's GP-98, not GP-93,
i.e. tri-band, 144 mhz, 440 mhz and 1200 mhz, 9'8" long with a claimed 1200 mhz
gain of 13.5 dbi.
Also, if you're looking for a 1200 mhz only antenna, Comet offers the GP-21
which covers 1240-1300 mhz. It's 8 ft. long - - claimed gain somewhat
better than the GP-98 on 1200 mhz band....21 1/2 wave elements for 14.9 dbi
supposed gain.

Ray

We have a few rooftop repeater sites lined up and want to get some antennas
for stock. We are constrained by height and visibility. I just ordered an
MFJ-1532-N from Radio City, and am working on a Comet GP-93 from them. I am
not a big Comet fan as our in service failure rate has been high.
