Subject: [ga_dstar] Major ARES exercise on Saturday

This Saturday, October 6, ARES will conduct its annual Simulated Emergency Test.
Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee will be participating on a multi-state level and may use D-STAR for intra and interstate communications during the exercise.
The exercise hours will be from 0800 until late afternoon Eastern Time.

REF030 has been designated for use during the exercise. Most Georgia repeaters will be connected to REF030C for voice traffic, REF030D will be used for D-RATS data traffic.
All stations not participating in the exercise should allow use on Saturday for the SET. Any repeater interfering with the exercise will be disconnected from the reflector.

Reflector 30 is located in Atlanta, Georgia and has been funded through emergency communications grants.
Its primary purpose is to support emergency operations and training in Georgia. However, during non-emergency periods, all repeaters and users are welcome to link to reflector 30. When emergency events or training is conducted, linking may be restricted to Georgia repeaters and users or other supporting areas.
Please respect any Georgia EmComm activities that occur on the reflector.
