For those of you who have Icom ID-1 radios, you might be feeling left out of
the whole linked repeater/reflector project. And the fact that our
emergency data network is not on the Internet by design might be a little
dull.
Don't fret- you can jump on one of several Gateway linked 1.2 DV machines we
have in town, and chat with any 20,000 or so users on the more than 1000
linked repeaters out there on any band.
The best system in town on 1.2 is probably Alan's - downtown Minneapolis on
1283.300. Set up your software to go to:
Your: CQCQCQ Rpt1 KD0JOU A Rpt2 KD0JOU G
Linking to a reflector is the same syntax (new memory channels) with
REF053AL in the "your" field and unlinking has "REF053AU" in your.
The rules have been changed by the reflector folks to allow more than one
deck /band on a given machine to be on the same reflector, such as the
Minnesota one, REF053A. So we might be able to leave the 1.2 decks on 53a,
and so you can talk to the 440 and 2M folks as well.

The Statewide build-out is done, as was announced, and the last of the
systems we got is currently in Fargo @NDSU, to be on the air soon on 444.000
as KD0SWQ.
