This year for the first time at the DCC we will have a D-STAR Friday night forum. 
 
Some of the major innovators in the D-STAR community will be presenting at the event. 
 
Friday Night D-STAR Forum

7:15 pm DCC & Chicago D-STAR Repeater Update, Kermit, W9XA 
 
7:30 pm Icom & D-STAR USA Update, Ray, N9JA

8:15 pm DV Dongle / dplus / Reflector / New Projects Update, Robin, AA4RC 
 
9 pm     Q & A / Socializing 
 
If you have an interest in D-STAR the Friday night forum should be very interesting and you should try to attend it even if you hadn't planned on the attending the DCC on Friday or Saturday.  
 
In addition to the Friday night forum there are several other D-STAR related presentations at the DCC on Friday & Saturday.

Erik, NY9D's presentation includes a description of D-STAR high-speed data usage in the Minneapolis area. 
 
TAPR's 70cm & 23cm D-STAR digital voice repeaters using the TAPR callsign, KT7APR will be operating at the hotel & connected to the D-STAR internet gateway providing D-STAR access within the hotel. 
 
The DCC was last in Chicago in 1998 and won't be back again for a few years so you won't want to miss it.
